Founder’s Biography & History of Diyar Kabir Food Industries

Haji Mohammad Kabir Akbarzada, founder of Diyar Kabir Food Industries, is one of the pioneers of industry in the southwest of Afghanistan, with over 30 years of distinguished experience, consistently contributing to the country’s economic and industrial development.

In 1993, he established his first company, Jam Cola, specializing in the production of non-alcoholic beverages. Just one year later, in 1994, he founded Hari Biscuit, introducing high-quality biscuits to the Afghan market and making a significant mark in the food industry.

In 2003, with the aim of expanding the production sector, he collaborated with prominent figures of Herat to establish the Herat Industrial Park—an initiative considered one of the most important industrial achievements for the people of Herat and Afghanistan as a whole. In 2004, he also became one of the founding members of the Union of Industrialists of Herat Province, which is now known as the Herat Chamber of Industries and Mines, contributing significantly to the region’s industrial infrastructure.

Recognizing the challenges in the production and food market sectors, in 2013 he founded the Union of Food Producers and Importers of Herat Province, through which he provided extensive services to strengthen and organize the industry.

On May 9, 2019, after persistent efforts, he succeeded in establishing a fully equipped Food Laboratory within the premises of the Herat Provincial Public Health Directorate. The laboratory was inaugurated in the presence of the Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan and has since served as the main facility for testing imported and exported food products, as well as goods produced in the Herat Industrial Park—ensuring quality and safety in the food sector.

In recent years, he established Diyar Kabir Food Industries in 2022, officially commencing its operations in 2025. The company, specializing in cake production, operates with advanced machinery, modern equipment, and state-of-the-art technology, striving to deliver high-quality products and win the trust and satisfaction of its valued customers.
